Sagun-Pabico Supplier Ratings

// June 15th, 2010 // Our Wedding Team, The Blogging Bride

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you so much w@w for all the help during our wedding preparations. Some of my suppliers are w@w finds, and they performed more than expected on our wedding.

For the bride-to-bes out there, I really hope that my supplier ratings will help you plan your wedding. All in all, we spent 150k in our wedding of 130 guests.

Legend:

1-10 (10 being the highest)

  • Church - San Antonio de Padua Antipolo
  • Peso Power : 5,000PHP
  • Inclusions: Flowers, Choir, Red Carpet
  • Rating : 8

church

Second church na nabook namin sila. Our first church was Immaculate Conception Parish in Marikina, but for some reasons, we had to move our wedding date to June 5, and hindi na available sa first church so we decided to move everything na rin dito sa Antipolo. Napili namin tong church na to because of its simplicity. And tahimik talaga kasi it’s inside a subdivision kaya solemn talaga. The aisle is a bit short, the church is small – sakto sa 100pax na guests namin.

Ang naging “reklamo” lang namin sa kanila is on the wedding day itself, masyadong minadali ng isang parishioner nila yung march namin, tapos yun pala wala pa si Father. We were made to wait for 20mins for Father, imagine andun na kami sa altar ni Bob. Sabi nga namin magmamarch nalang kami ulit eh. Hehe!

  • Reception Venue: Mission Hills Clubhouse
  • Peso Power: 8,000.00
  • Rating : 9

recep

Nakakatuwa kasi ang dami dami pa naming napuntahang venue sa labas ng Antipolo and halos lahat is 10k plus ang price. Hanggang sa nagswimming kami one time dito sa sarili naming clubhouse and narealize namin na pwede naman dito nalang ganapin yung reception. Malaki yung lugar and the price of 8k is very much worth it. Whole day event ang price nung 8k plus swimming for those na gustong magswimming after party. Our guests commented on how “classy-looking” our venue was. Akala nga nila bonggang bongga ang ginastos namin for the wedding. Hehe!

I know this is open for non-residents, kailangan lang ng sponsorship. Don’t hesitate to email me if you would ever need one. ;)

  • Caterer: Martha’s Plate Catering Services
  • Peso Power: 375/head
  • Rating: 10++++++

caterer

We feel up to now that they are our best find in the whole wedding process! Martha’s Plate has been in the catering industry for years already, owned by super kind husband and wife tandem. We’re so lucky kasi friend sila ng Tita ko and binigyan talaga kami ng discounts, like no service fee, etc. They also gave us a free salad bar. :)

What we liked most about them is that we did not have any formal sit-down food tasting or nagdiscuss kung ano gusto namin talagang kalabasan ng wedding. Actually, days before the wedding lang namin sinabi sa kanila ang color motif namin etc, but they were still able to pull it off.

Lahat ng guests nagcomment on how delicious the food were! ;)

PHOTO

We only have all praises for Kuya Francis and his team of talented photographers.

When Bob and I scouted for Photographers, we knew exactly what we had in mind: We wanted to go traditional.

We noticed kasi that most of the photographers now use effects on their photos. We wanted to go traditional kasi as Bob said, kaya naman sa photoshop yung effects. Bob is an artist kaya matalas ang mata niya sa mga structures/depths ng photos, etc. At ang team nila kuya francis yung naging swak sa taste niya, so we decided to go for them.

Note that our original budget for photos were 50k and below, but when we saw their package which was totally worth it, sila na kinuha namin. Premium package na nia yung 60k. They have 35 and 45k packages too.

lights

Elmer is a w@w find. :)

I’ve posted an email to w@w already on how happy we were in their performance in our wedding. Elmer is a good guy, he knows his business well.

A background on Elmer: Wala man lang akong downpayment sa kanya and his Team B was supposed to handle our event. On the day itself, nagulat nalang ako na si Elmer talaga yung nandun. ;)

Elmer is very attentive. Our songs were fab kahit wala kamng binigay na song list sa kanya. Kaya tuloy teary eyed kaming lahat. Hehehe!

  • Hair and Make Up: Uly Sarriego
  • Peso Power: 6,000.00 (Free upgrade to Airbrush)
  • Rating: 10+++++++++++++++++++++

makeup

Uly is a pure talent. :)

I first met him nung nagpamake up kami for graduation ng sis ko. Dun palang naamaze na ako sa make up niya sakin, considering it’s plain and simple dahil graduation lang naman. Come prenuptial shoot, wala akong masabi kundi praises for Uly. He did more than what he was asked for. He was more like a PA to me nung nagprenup, always ready to retouch my make up.

On our wedding day, his call time was 7am, imagine my surprise nung dumating siya ng 6am! Haha! Kagigising ko palang at di pa ko nakakaligo. He waited for me pa. All in all, wala akong masabi kundi pure talent si Uly and he’s really really kind. Daming nagcomment na maganda ang naging effect ng no-make up look ko. ;)

  • Wedding Gown: Ikasal by Jerome Figueroa
  • Peso Power: 13,000 (10k for gown, 3k for the 8ft veil)
  • Rating : 6

gown

I want to try my best to provide them a unbiased feedback. Hehe!

The gown was okay – it was just like I expected it to be. In fairness to them, pulido sila gumawa. The only stress I got from them was their inability to stick to their deadlines. Grabe.

First problem, our first wedding day was supposed to be May 8.

Muntik pa kong mahighblood kasi iba yung pinakita nilang barong sakin nung nagbayad kami for rentals, tapos nung kinukuha namin, organza barong ang pilit na binibigay samin, eh that’s not what I paid for.

He’s a good designer, but I will not recommend him. The stress is too much for a bride to handle.

  • Emcee and OTD: Angel Zaguirre of Artist Gallery and Events Management
  • Peso Power: 5,000 for Emcee and discounted price of 3k for OTD
  • Rating: 5

I don’t even want to post a picture of them here in my blog.

Masakit on my part na pumalpak sila coz I was the one who insisted to get an OTD. Pero yung ginawa nila sa wedding is a disaster.

Let me start with the OOT fee. They asked for 1.5k OOT fee dahil daw magrerent sila ng van papunta dito sa amin sa Antipolo para maging service narin nila. On the day of the wedding, biglang nasira daw yung van nila at makikisabay daw sila sa shuttle namin. Nangyari, nagrent kami ng van just for them. So doble gastos, diba?

Church: My cousin told me na siya daw ang nagayos ng entourage lineup sa labas ng church. The ushers who were supposed to arrange the line up ay nakatayo lang daw sa gilid ng church. And then nung nagsikilos na sila, one usher eh nabastos pa yung ninang namin.

After the wedding ko na nalaman na hindi pala nabigyan ng buttonaires yung male entourage namin. Nabulok nalang sa kahon yung mga flowers. The fans which we specifically labeled, “entourage, ninong, ninang” were not given to them din. Pinamigay nila sa ordinary guests.

Reception: I think dito na yung pinakamalalang ginawa nila. First of all, hindi ganun kagaling mag english si Angel. Nagsstutter siya nung umpisa palang, and ang pinakamasaklap dun, when she called us as husband and wife for the very first time, mali yung names namin! I didn’t want to go inside dahil mali ang tawag niya samin but wala nang magawa diba. Ilang beses siyang kinokorek ng kapatid ko and those malapit sa kanya, pero di niya parin nabago. All throughout the program, mali mali ang tawag niya samin.

The guestbook is a disaster too. Puro ninong and ninang lang.

To be fair with Angel, she’s nice. She’s friendly, but that’s not enough. We hired them as OTD’s pero mas naging OTD pa ang pinsan ko and our friends kesa sa kanila. I feel depressed whenever I look at our guestbook dahil yung mga friends namin na galing pa sa malalayong lugar, di naman nakapirma. And I dread to see our full wedding video kasi allthroughout the reception mali mali yung names namin.

Eileen has a fault here too, coz while I was emailing her, ang akala ko siya ang maghandle ng wedding. Biglang last minute naging si Angel.

I told them via email all of my reklamo and Eileen said sorry while Angel flooded me with excuses.

Anyway, during the wedding naman di na namin inintindi yung mga nagawa nila. It’s just that after the wedding, dun naglalabasan yung bad feedback sa kanila and nakakastress din makarinig ng ganung feedback, lalo na on my part kasi ako ang nagpilit na magkaron ng OTD.

———————————————————-

So there, mga sis. :)

Advice ko lang, on the day itself, kahit may makitang kastress stress na pangyayari, lift them up to God. After the wedding nalang isipin. Hehe! Feel good, look good.

3 months lang kami nagprepare ng wedding namin, and I would say na it’s a great way for us to really get to know our H2bs.

Happy preps to all and see you all in n@w soon. Hehehe!
